Founding of Hosanna Christian Center

Hosanna Christian Center was founded through the vision and obedience of Pastor Robert O. Smith III, who stepped out in faith to create a place where God’s presence is welcomed and His people are equipped to grow. From the very beginning, the heartbeat of Hosanna has been to lift high the name of Jesus, minister to the broken, and establish a Christ-centered community.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

 Early Days & Growth

In our early years, Hosanna Christian Center was not just a building—it was a gathering of believers united in worship, prayer, and outreach. With humble beginnings, services often included house meetings, outdoor evangelism, and strong community fellowship. Through dedication and sacrifice, our ministry grew into what it is today: a thriving body of believers standing on the Word of God.

Scripture tie-in: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” (Zechariah 4:10)

The Ministry Today

Hosanna Christian Center is now a vibrant, Spirit-led ministry where lives are transformed by the power of the Gospel. We are a non-denominational church, welcoming all backgrounds, cultures, and generations into one family. Our ministries span worship, children’s ministry, media and technology, outreach, evangelism, and community service—all with the purpose of making Jesus known.

  • Scripture tie-in: “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27)

Our Mission Going Forward

We believe the future of Hosanna Christian Center is rooted in equipping disciples, raising leaders, and expanding the reach of the Gospel beyond our walls. As we walk in faith, we will continue to embrace new methods of ministry while holding fast to the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

Scripture tie-in: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19)
